Calgary – Stampede Entertainment is thrilled to announce five-time Male vocalist of the Year, coach for the Emmy Award-winning television show The Voice, and GRAMMY nominee, Blake Shelton will hit the stage, Saturday, July 11 as part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series at the 2020 Calgary Stampede.
“Blake Shelton will be a huge concert on the final Saturday of Stampede,” says Adam Oppenheim, President, Stampede Entertainment. “He is an unparalleled entertainer, and his songs are Stampede anthems. I can think of no better artist to ring in a Calgary Stampede Saturday night.”
Shelton continues to add to his superstar status. His current single “God’s Country” became his 26th No. 1 on country radio, where it remained for a multi-week run, in addition to his 16th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, the Platinum-selling entertainer has earned a host of honours throughout his career, including 20 ACM nominations and both male and overall Video of the Year trophies at the 2018 CMT Awards. As a coach on The Voice, Shelton is a six-time champion, most recently with his contestant Chloe Kohanski.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, November 15 at 10 a.m. (MDT) starting at $59.99 (plus applicable fees). Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, via phone at 1.855.985.5000 and at Ticket Master. Tickets include admission to the Calgary Stampede on the day of the concert.
