Calgary -Stampede Entertainment Inc. is excited to announce that Tim McGraw, the most played country artist in history, will perform as part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series at the 2019 Calgary Stampede. McGraw’s only Alberta performance will close the 2019 Calgary Stampede on Sunday, July 14, at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
“It doesn’t get much better than Tim McGraw on the final day of the Calgary Stampede,” says Adam Oppenheim, President, Stampede Entertainment Inc. “He is a country music icon, whose genre spanning music has solidified his place as one of the best-selling artists of all time. There is no more appropriate artist to close the 2019 Calgary Stampede.”
McGraw recently released two news songs, ‘NEON CHURCH’ and ‘Thought About You’, his first new solo music in two years. He has sold more than 50 million records and dominated the charts with 43 worldwide #1 singles. McGraw has won 3 Grammy Awards, 16 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 11 American Music Awards, 3 People’s Choice Awards and numerous other honors.
His iconic career achievements include BDS Radio’s Most Played Artist of the Decade for all music genres, the Most Played Song of the Decade for all music genres, and two singles spending over 10 weeks at #1.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. (MDT) starting at $59.99 (plus applicable fees). Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, via phone at 1.855.985.5000 and at Ticket Master. Tickets include admission to the Calgary Stampede on the day of the concert.
